Behind the Scene

When a diplomat enters China, one of the first pieces of advice is to create a Chinese name—one that bridges the cultural and linguistic divide. For Koreans and Japanese, this often involves adopting the Chinese pronunciation of corresponding characters. For Westerners, however, a new name must be crafted—phonetically familiar, semantically meaningful, or both. This naming ritual reflects more than just linguistic adaptation; it symbolizes the effort to cross cultural barriers and communicate meaningfully.

Inspired by this practice and my readings of Plato’s Republic, I chose for myself an English surname—one that signaled not just identity, but intention. Yet I realized that names alone are not enough. In a world grappling with rising geopolitical tensions, disinformation, legal ambiguity, and environmental collapse, bridging cultures is only the first step. We need more than diplomacy—we need systems thinking, strategy, and action.

During my time studying philosophy, I began to see the systemic roots of today’s crises—war, energy insecurity, public health emergencies, and climate change. These are not isolated events; they are signals of a social and structural construct that can no longer sustain human flourishing.

I was tired of being on the sidelines. I refused to accept that othering narrative as the default state of being.

So I took a distant view—one that transcends partisanship and borders—and began to ask: What would it take to create cost-efficient, scalable, and effective solutions to global problems?

Public Relations is a multifaceted discipline that integrates research, data analysis, strategic communication, and cultural intelligence to build trust, influence behavior, and align organizational outcomes with public well-being.

I see PR as the tool to build bridges through everyday interactions and crisis contexts with integrity and foresight. The public should include not only stakeholders and communities but also the environment itself, because true prosperity is shared, sustainable, and inclusive.

This is the vision behind Kairos: a strategy and solutions company born from the urgency of our time. We are building the infrastructure, intelligence, and interdisciplinary networks needed to navigate crises and help humanity not only survive, but prosper.
